Started the upgrade process, seemed to be going ok at first.Ĭomputer rebooted and it was completely " bricked" (link for those who don't know the term.Ĭalled Alienware tech support - Very long conversations leading to no help. ![]() I am quite proficient with multiple operating systems so this was normal for me to do anyway. Prepared computer as I was supposed to and backed up critical data. Spoke to 2 people who installed the betas. Researched the new OS on a few technical boards. I should note I started this process in what I thought would be sufficient time between client work deadlines. The story in bullet points for brevity for anyone who cares. I haven't done it and am unlikely to for various reasons but I did have a nightmarish experience "upgrading to Windows 10 on my old Alienware 17 R2. You may want to consider erring on the side of caution and not upgrading until others do. I am seeing a lot of posts about upgrading Alienware computers to windows 11.
